Seated here on this mat .....

To our graduates, it’s such a coincidence that all this happens during a season of the current fever of the 10year challenge. I haven’t really been part of it but I have enjoyed the extreme contrasts for some of our social media family members.
So why am I bringing this up, let’s just say you need to know what’s on the other side. While you were in that class, perhaps your fantasies make your ten years later look rosy. No one should stop you from dreaming. If you didn’t paint your fantasies with possibilities, it is not too late to actually fasten your seatbelt and face the reality of life after graduation. Be a pacesetter, be a go-getter, face your battles with creativity and trust me you could swim through.
Way back in my home, we used to sit on the mat... it was five of us. When we got our first dining table, it was a set of four chairs. You can only imagine the protocol that followed to sit on the famous stool and coffee table to eat a meal when away from the main table. Soon a bigger table came years later even after we had somehow survived with our four chairs. The new one was a six-seater with room for an extra mouth to enjoy our daily menu ( my siblings can relate )
Here it is, your progress in the real world always starts from somewhere. Our long-serving president calls it “steady progress” but I will call it “optimistic beginning”. Perhaps the next ten-year challenge will have you showing us a grad pic and the comparison will be one of you as a CEO...
